Hi my name is Gina, I’m Jacob’s mother. Today, April 24, 2026 would have been my beautiful son’s 21st birthday. I lost my Jacob, to a tragic accident while our family traveled from across the country to celebrate my niece’s wedding on a beautiful summer day in Pasco, Washington, USA. Our whole world turned dark in the blink of an eye when he was stolen from us. Jacob had a very bright and beautiful life ahead of him and was looking forward to a promising career in nursing at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and was on the Dean’s list for outstanding grades. He loved his college friends as though they were his family. Jacob also had a soft spot for children with special needs and worked as a caregiver for several autistic kids. He had an infectious smile and gave the biggest bear hugs. He touched so many lives during his short life. He had many travel dreams and with a long bucket list of life goals and places to visit. He loved to see the sunrise over the ocean on the east coast of South Carolina or the sunset off the west coast of California.
I bought this compass bracelet at DFW airport on my way to my other niece’s wedding in Toledo Spain. This bracelet is very meaningful for to me as I hope it can travel the world and visit many of the places he only dreamed of…
