On days that seem ordinary, I’ve found myself meeting the most extraordinary people. One glance, one “Hello!” led bracelet number 23569 to find me.
I received 23569 in San Juan Airport — which also happens to be home for my job, I’m Amanda – sales associate @ SJU Duty Free Stores. It was another day in which everything seemed to be just as it was the day prior – until by chance, I look up and there she was, Sam! Who asked me a question that led to her telling me she sold jewelry, and the unique concept around it. I think it’s genuinely one of the most interesting and beautiful jewelry concepts I’ve ever heard. I immediately knew I want to check it out, and that’s when Sam pulled one out of her bag and now [23569] gets to do life with me! Being raised in Puerto Rico my whole life, I have developed a strong desire for travel and creating new meaningful connections everywhere I go. Including home.
The destination you need to hear about to get to know me is THAILAND. I spent 23 days in the country which my dreams are made of. Learning about Her, about her people, about connections & cultures, but most importantly, I learned a lot about ME. I was 24, and while I am 26 today – there’s not a day I live in which I don’t think about Thailand. Which is why, I am making it my mission to take 23569 with me to the Land of Smiles — it’ll be then and there that this bracelet will be passed on. Until then, it’s just me and her (23569)!
