Every journey begins with a connection

Every journey begins with a connection. The renewable energy industry is often described through miles of transmission lines, gigawatts of capacity and ambitious projects that shape the future. Yet behind every achievement is something even more important: people. The relationships we build with mentors, colleagues, partners and friends help us navigate challenges, discover opportunities and create lasting impact. Together, these connections form a network that is every bit as important as the infrastructure we design and build. This bracelet symbolizes that shared journey. Just as energy travels across a connected grid, ideas, encouragement and opportunities move through the relationships that strengthen our industry. As this bracelet continues its journey, it will carry the stories of the people who wore it before and those who will wear it next. Thank you for being part of a community that continues to inspire, support and empower one another as we work together to Wire the Future®.

In 2025, I was fortunate enough to visit Machu Picchu with my family. The Incas worshipped the sun god, and we were able to see the remnants of the Sun Temple. As our tour was wrapping up, our tour guide briefly mentioned the hydroelectric dam that is visible from the top of Machu Picchu. It was incredible to see a renewable energy hydro system that powers thousands of homes just down the mountain from the ruins of a place that's hundreds of years old. If you zoom way in in the attached photo, you can see the pipes that are part of the dam system just above my hand.

Was traveling for work in Chicago from Scottsdale, AZ for a women in renewable energy conference and was given it in the elevator. I can’t wait to see where all it goes! Pic from the day I got it on my walk back from getting coffee.
