I received this bracelet from my parents and the message resonates with me so much. I have been living as a nomad since 2015 and probably the greatest aspects of life on the road is the privilege I have to meet some of the most beautiful people in this world. Countless acts of kindness, from an ice cream cone passed silently to me on the street, to an open door into a home when I was exhausted, to an invitation to dinner while eating alone at a cafe, have shown me that although the human race as a whole can have its darkness and evils, the individual is good and can be the light one another might need. Each person has a deep, intricate story to tell and if I am given the opportunity to unravel even just a couple threads of that story I feel lucky.
