CB#3766 – The Journey Begins

While at MerleFest 2018 in Wilkboro, NC, my best girlfriend and I were checking out the merchandise tents and ran across COMPASS BRACELETS.  We talked with one of the ladies who came up with the concept and immediately thought WHAT A WONDERFUL IDEA! Using a bracelet to track the trickle effect of a RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS! Unfortunately, we didn't get back to the vendor area before we left the festival...SO I placed an order last week. This is the 2nd bracelet that I've worn...the first I gave to my best friend and soulmate, Scott. I wore CB#3766 thinking that when I saw my best girlfriend again, she might mention it.  If she did...I would give it to her. OF COURSE SHE SPIED IT and began telling her husband and brother-in-law all about the concept. THIS BRACELET WAS ACTUALLY ORDERED FOR HER...I JUST WANTED TO HAVE THE THRILL OF TAKING IT OFF MY ARM AND GIVING IT TO HER. AND SO, THE JOUREY HAS BEGUN....She'll take it to far away places where she'll meet interesting people and change their lives forever!  

I received my bracelet from Lisa, who I met about 8 years ago.  She’s a great musician, singer and songwriter whose band played regularly at a local venue.  We had heard about her and started attending events where she played.  I was recovering from a serious illness and not able to be very active.  I was so inspired by her music that I decided to learn to play a guitar myself.  She gave me advice on what to look for in a first instrument, and as I began to learn rudimentary chords, she encouraged me to the point of inviting me and another beginner to sing at a mic a  song or two during her shows.  Along the way she became a true best friend.  She is pretty and funny and oh so talented; she’s also smart and fun.  We’ve had the chance to travel together with our husbands and shared both tears and laughter.  She’s been there for through broken bones, illnesses and losses for us both - and I love her.

I am honored to receive the Compass Bracelet from one of the most courageous person I have know.   We have been friends for 25+ years and have had many good times traveling and visiting.  She is positive under the worst of trying times and is an inspiration to me. I have celebrated my 80th birthday.  I have learned a lot over the years.  The things I wish for has been put in perspective.  The most valuable thing in life is the people who are there... family, friends and even strangers who give a smile at just the right time to brighten the day. I have passed the bracelet to my newest Nephew.  He is there for all who need him and always with a smile and a hug.  I am sure the bracelet is in good hands

I received my bracelet from a very wonderful full of life addition to my family :) My wife`s Aunt Margret, Love this lady, she is a joy to know and be around. When she inform me she had something for me , I was very curious as to what it could of been, being of an artist she paints very well and has traveled many times to Europe , so my mind was a blank.. When I received this bracelet I was very surprised and learning of its value had allowed me to help spread the Joy. Loving life is a joy we all enjoy and passing this on to someone in the future of our travels will be awesome. Knowing how much this meant to her to think of me is inspiration enough. Looking forward to letting who ever reads this , I have been in Many Country`s met very cool people and look to meet more before turning this sweet gem over :)
