I purchased this compass bracelet at a street fair in my neighborhood. It was a rainy day and I was reluctant to go out. I had found out earlier that day that my childhood friend Amanda had died of an overdose. I got very high, finishing off a whole bong bowl, and went out anyway. I saw a friend and awkwardly told her about my loss, still trying to formulate what it meant. I found this bracelet in a small trailer where a woman was selling trinkets and tea. I wear this bracelet as a reminder that life is precious, beautiful and fragile.
