He said “I want to share this bracelet with you because of the kindness that has been shown to those of us hiking the Appalachian Trail and for the prayer of blessing you shared with us.” In 2015 I was dealing with the discovery phase of cancer – where, what, how bad etc. While hiking the same AT section from Tesnatee Gap to Neal’s Gap that year I felt surrounded by God’s presence and His assurance that He saw me, He knew me, and that He was taking care of me.,,,and that my job was to take of hikers. For the past several years, each spring my friends and I go up to the trail and feely share hot home made soup. When asked why we are there, we share the richness of God’s great goodness and that He sees them, He knows them, and He loves them. The soup we make opens the doors to their stories and we share each others joys and dreams as much as can surrounded by God’s beauty and kindness. It makes for a great day.
