My friend lost her 21 year old son to suicide January 2022. She organized a group to begin hiking the Appalachian Trail in segments in memory of him and as part of an effort to raise awareness of the problem and the need to be able to talk about suicide and to raise funds for suicide prevention. I purchased my bracelet at the Amiacola State Park in Georgia as the group began that hike. My bracelet inspires me to remember to be kind because I never know what other people might be feeling or going through.
