I have a rare disease. Something that many don’t understand and probably never will. It’s so easy to take like for granted. Eating, breathing, friends, work, happiness. I almost lost everything just a month ago on 5/1/23. I went into something called sepsis and I almost lost my life in the process. This caused me with many other medical difficulties that could cause me to die any day. Something so simple as a little scratch to my skin could cause me to die. It’s scary but you have to learn to start living life the way you always dreamed of it. Go on those adventures, have that drink, say I love you, share your story, and most importantly treat people with kindness. I found this necklace on a small vacation with my friends at Block Island, RI, USA. I wanted something as a little souvenir for the possible best day of my life. Now knowing the full meaning of this necklace, I hope one day someone can read this and take this as a way of reassurance and understanding that you’re doing ok. You’re right where you’re supposed to be. It’s ok to be scared and it’s ok to be weak, but put your faith in the fact that god has a plan. You’ll survive and most importantly you will live. You will live and you will thrive and you will be OKAY. Treat this necklace with care and remember that everyone has a story. Everyone has their struggles whether it’s internal, physical, or external factors weighing in on their life.
