I am staying at the Holiday Inn Resort in Wrightsville Beach for a work trip and as soon as I arrived and walked up to the building a flood of emotion came over me. The last time I stayed here was with my mom who passed away March 29, 2024. I am so thankful we were able to take the trip to this beautiful place because it was the last time mom got to see the ocean. Mom wanted to see the ocean so bad and with her health it was not easy for her to get around. We packed up her oxygen concentrator and her wheelchair and we headed for the beach. We stopped at Walmart and bought matching pajamas, we went to eat dinner at Oceanic Restaurant, and we rocked in rocking chairs overlooking the ocean. I miss her so much and I can’t wait to see her again one day in Heaven. I love you mom.
