I received my bracelet from my best friend as a Christmas gift, brand spanking new! So this is the beginning of its long, interesting, kind story. Kindness is so important to me. It’s something I value higher than almost anything else and I strive to be kind every day. When I was younger, I had a really difficult time with someone who went out of their way to hurt and bully me. This was a pivotal moment in my life, although at the time I only saw it as extremely painful and unfair. Because of the way I was treated I have a very low tolerance for humans mistreating humans. I have learned how to stand up for others when they aren’t being treated correctly, even if my stance is not the popular one. I am not a fighter, but I will not remain quiet when someone isn’t being treated right. I am so extremely appreciative of the difficult moments in my life that have brought me to the place I am today, surrounded by good people that I love so much and feeling that love right back. If I could give the people that have this bracelet in the future any bit of advice it would be that this world is filled with so many things to achieve, so many demands, so many expectations but at the end of the day, month, year, at the end of your life…the thing you will value most is your relationships with the people you care about. The thing you will value most is your interactions with your fellow humans, the way you loved, the way you gave love and received love is an intrinsic force and is what makes being alive such a grand adventure. I am 28 years old and I have been to 30 countries, I’ve seen a lot and have plenty yet to see. The best memories I have of all of my travels and time on this planet are of my connections with others. Building those connections, making the time to be there for your fellow humans, making the time to be a dependable, reliable, uplifting source of happiness in others lives is really all that matters. We have such a short time here, try your best to spend it in a way that makes you feel full. Embrace your individuality and find others that see you for who you really are. Let yourself grow, learn and change. Don’t let the muggles get you down and don’t spend too much time trying to make someone see the magic, just be there in case they’re ever ready to. Chase your passion with the fierceness of knowing that tomorrow is never promised. But above all, be kind to one another.  I encourage you to gift this bracelet to someone you believe will be able to celebrate and carry on the spirit of it. I can’t wait to see where the journey takes it, and us.
