Tropical Adventures

This journey begins at historic Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, FL. We hope your journeys are fun and full of adventures with life-long memories and excitement.

I began my journey as a digital nomad in October 2023.  It is just me and my VW Jetta traveling the country.  I spotted this bracelet on one of my stops in Saint Petersburg, Florida in December 2023. I visited the Sunken Gardens with my friend Laure who I had not seen for a number of years. She loves plants and flowers as much as I do. She even grows orchids. My stay in Saint Petersburg was a house sit in a beautiful home with 5 cats! From there, I went to Leesburg, Florida to spend Christmas with my parents which was lovely. I know that my time with them will be limited and know that I cherish these memories. Back to Saint Augustine, Florida for just a night or 2 before flying back to Pittsburgh, PA for a software launch. I have been working on this project for 9 months as a primary role. Very exciting to see if come to fruition. After spending time with co-workers in PA, landed back in Saint Augustine, Florida to spend time in a tiny house on Butler Beach. It has been the perfect place to rest and recharge after the intensity of this project. I took 2 days offs from work to sleep and rebalance. The first day was raining with a major storm rolling through and then the next was incredibly beautiful and I spent 4 hours on the beach and walked 7.5 miles. I have days where I wonder why I am doing this but then I meet strangers or see beauty in the world that reminds me. It reminds me right when I need it the most. This journey is giving me so much more than I imagined it would.
