My parents sent me the compass bracelet in a package which contained things from when I was a teenager (I’m 43 now). They are moving from Wilmington, NC to CA and had some of my old stuff; it was either donate/give away, throw away, or ship to me in Colorado. They were kind enough to facetime with me and go through stuff that they’ve been holding onto for years (some of it is over 25 years old). They sent me a large box full of stuff. I am going through it and I am going to create art out of it, or I am going to create art inspired by it. I’m all about passing it forward, downsizing, evaluating our consumption, finding new ways to create/use and reuse materials, and/or alternative solutions; compostable- able to go back into the earth when you are done with it. We are all human beings and deserve unconditional love. If I can spread kindness and smiles, it might just help someone deal with life. Laughter is the best medicine and I try to get people to do it wherever I am. The compass bracelet can connect us all, traveling the world, exploring and learning about new cultures. Getting out of your comfort zone and finding your true self. Connecting with other people around the world is so powerful; we are all connected but on our separate journies. Think about our roots and where it all started. And then think of the possibilities. Imagine if we could all come together and practice peace and love every day.
