I bought my bracelet at a store in Wilmington

As I type this, your golden plaque that reads the aforementioned numbers are gleaming up at me. I am only your second wearer, but I have already worn you countless hours. I have even left hints of where I continuously placed the prong that solidly attached you to my wrist. You have traveled with me through my journey of this summer, from the very bottom rung of the ladder of my career, to the new home away from my loving parent’s arms and their familiar nest. You have seen enumerable smiles, but also a few tears when I have felt the world was moving too fast. We have endured a lot of change, me and you. And with exhilaration, but some hesitation, I continue looking forward and welcoming change. As I continue my journey through this life, and you continue yours, I hope you find an adventurous and courageous individual. Whoever is reading this, take care of my dear friend, bracelet 1742. We saw a lot together, and I hope it continues seeing the world through your unique lenses. We each have our paths to travel in this life and our paths may never intertwine, but I am so thankful to share this small token with you. We have both tackled the world with the numbers 1742 firmly placed on our wrist, and even when this bracelet has left you and continued on to our next friend, don’t ever lose your sense of adventure.
