I received my bracelet from the owner herself! Within the last 6 months I made my transition to start my own business after working 8 years in the wholesale/retail industry starting and growing a women's fashion wholesale line out of Wilmington NC. The job was my life for a long time, until about a year ago I started to feel the tug to do more within my community, and have more balance in my life. The job like many jobs do started to drain me and my energy and after 8 long dedicated years I decided to take the leap to go out on my own and try to make a difference consulting independently for growing brands, designers, and manufacturers in the industry. It was an incredibly scary transition as expected. I left a very demanding, but VERY comfy position. My start was rocky but slowly I began to truly cherish the benefits of working your own business. Its so easy to loose sight of what really matters in this lifetime when you're so re-directed by career and money. Slowly I started to de-fog my brain and I can't tell you how grateful I am to be able to see life's goals so clearly now and be so happy in the MOMENT. I began to network and meet the most amazing entrepreneurs and was so amazed and refreshed that there were such bright, kind professionals in our community who were so SUPPORTIVE of others trying to reach their goals. I received some of the best mentorship I have in my entire lifetime and it gave me the guts to keep going. It is in this new clarity that I met Sam who is taking her brand to trade show for the first time in January! I met with her to share some coaching on this new whole sale journey she is going to embark on and we immediately hit it off. I was so drawn to her and her company as the type of company I had always wanted to be a part of and represent. She took the leap long ago but has devoted her career to doing GOOD and spreading KINDNESS. She has taken many sacrifices to stay on this path - but she has such a strong sense of meaning in her life and finds the perfect balance between life and career. She is truly an inspiration and I'm so grateful to be able to get to know her as a friend and to work alongside her and add value to such a powerful and meaningful business. Compass bracelets found me as an individual and as as business at the perfect time and now I wear my new bracelet proudly as an inspiration to keep moving towards my goals but also a powerful reminder of balance whats most important in life.
