We left 2 days late this deployment but we are floating across the Atlantic en-route Deployment 2019. Today is St. Patrick’s Day we have decorated my work space in shamrocks and dressed as leprechauns. Lets see where this journey goes.

Yesterday we arrived in Durrës, Albania our second stop on this deployment. We completed out Straits of Gibraltar transit safely and efficiently. The crew and I are exhausted from training and watches so this visit, albeit for a diplomatic reason, has been much needed and well deserved. My friend Julia is my liberty partner in crime this deployment, a big switch from my big brother Jacob from last deployment. Two women in a country unknown to them wondering aimlessly trying to find a hotel we had no idea was far away. Walking down what we thought was a road turned out to be an alley then getting chased by a cat and running away laughing. Then walking to dinner giggling and picking out cultural difference along the way, the men here are respectful and stand offish to women here it a nice change from most men in the US. If you adventure in a different country try their food, explore their country respectfully, and ALWAYS try the wine and desserts. 💕⚓️🧜🏼♀️🌊 Life of a traveling mermaid is adventure when you except everything in the flow.
