To travel is to live

I purchased my compass bracelet in Steamboat Springs, CO and I live in Colorado Springs, CO. I took this bracelet with me to Iceland where I found the most amazing people, culture, and adventure. This bracelet inspires me to explore, learn, and meet new people to experience life with. I traveled solo to Iceland and my trip originally was planned with someone else. I am grateful for the hurdles life has given me that made me choose to travel by myself. Iceland was the perfect place to travel solo, not one time did I feel lonely or worried. Iceland has so many kind and polite people, including the people that travel to this country. This is a country I will definitely be visiting again. Spreading kindness is so important because there is no reason not to be kind to someone. You never know what someone’s story is because all of our stories are different. I hope this bracelet spreads kindness all over the world. ❤️

We were vikings when I received my compass bracelet.  We roared and bellowed across the frozen grasses of Iceland - our victory chants echoing through volcanic rock.  We painted our faces with earth, with salt, with stories.  I received the bracelet from Aldís the Viking, as she will forever be known in my mind, but also received a new friendship and boundless memories. From the jagged edges of Iceland, my bracelet came with me to Ireland where it clambered over the rolling emerald hills and gripped ancient ruins of castles that were held together by myths and legends.   The feel of the leather on my wrist tugged my memories back to the smell of volcanic sulfur, making it hard to part with.  The bracelet reminded me of stories that had been whispered under the northern lights, of laughter carried on snowflakes; but as I wandered further from those viking days and out into Europe, I embraced the new connections forged and the stories they created. For me these bracelets are stories embodied.  They carry with them words and tales from all walks of life - and this bracelet has much to say.
