Embarking on a Journey

# 4377

I have always loved and romanticized over the concept of sending a message in a bottle. They closest I have come to this personally was throwing a wooden card with my information on it into the Pacific Ocean in Washington state at a nature camp.  Children’s books that came to mind when I first saw this bracelet where Paddle to the Sea.  A  story about a hand made boat that through trials, tribulations makes it from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. One of my all time favorite books by Kate DiCamillo is The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. A dearly loved china rabbit that is lost, travels around the world and is found again but only due to the love of those along the way.

What ultimately made me fork over the cost was that half the proceeds goes to benefit children in foster care. Children who are thrust into a journey they never chose for themselves. Their stories that often don’t have the happiest of endings. This bracelet in a way is an opportunity to pay it forward and in the process show love and a random act of kindness. Don’t let this bracelet’s journey end with you.

I have always loved and romanticized over the concept of sending a message in a bottle. They closest I have come to this personally was throwing a wooden card with my information on it into the Pacific Ocean in Washington state at a nature camp.  Children's books that came to mind when I first saw this bracelet where Paddle to the Sea. Their stories that often don't have the happiest of endings. This bracelet in a way is an opportunity to pay it forward and in the process show love and a random act of kindness. Don't let this bracelet's journey end with you.
