Every journey begins with a connection

Every journey begins with a connection. The renewable energy industry is often described through miles of transmission lines, gigawatts of capacity and ambitious projects that shape the future. Yet behind every achievement is something even more important: people. The relationships we build with mentors, colleagues, partners and friends help us navigate challenges, discover opportunities and create lasting impact. Together, these connections form a network that is every bit as important as the infrastructure we design and build. This bracelet symbolizes that shared journey. Just as energy travels across a connected grid, ideas, encouragement and opportunities move through the relationships that strengthen our industry. As this bracelet continues its journey, it will carry the stories of the people who wore it before and those who will wear it next. Thank you for being part of a community that continues to inspire, support and empower one another as we work together to Wire the Future®.

I grew up in Vega, Texas, where the world beyond our small community felt very far away. Then a wind farm was built on my family’s land, and a door I never knew existed swung wide open. I stepped through it—curious, determined, and ready to soak up every bit of wisdom someone was willing to share. That unexpected beginning grew into a career helping people and projects move renewable energy forward. But my title is not the heart of my story. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, woman of faith, leader, fisherwoman, and occasional watercolor artist. I believe life is meant to be lived boldly, people deserve to be seen, and the best work begins with trust. Wherever this bracelet travels next, I hope it reminds its wearer that one unexpected opportunity can change the direction of a life—and that we can always hold the door open for the next person.
