Being a speech-language pathologist for many years, I have worked with many children throughout my career that have been in foster care. All of the children came from different backgrounds…some were being adopted by their foster families, some were reunited with their biological families and others were on a journey to find their forever homes, but the one thing that amazed me about all of these children was their strength and resilience. I feel blessed having gotten to know each of them and been a part of their lives even for just a short time. Foster kids really do change lives…I know because they’ve changed mine 😊!
