I received my bracelet from Espree Devora, who runs the Women In Tech podcast (our episode can be found here). She was rolling through Denver, and I met with her to discuss tech, my learnings from my career thus far, etc. I was very grateful to be featured on this podcast!

I have always been inspired by strong women, most especially my mother. I grew up in a home where my mom was the “bread winner”, and she ultimately became CMO of a multi-billion dollar public company. To me, this bracelet represents all the strong career-women like my mother who have come before me, all those currently, and all those to come after. Both being a full-time mom and a full-time career focused woman are extremely difficult, and I commend ALL women for all the hard work they do, regardless if it is in or out of office.

I decided to give my bracelet to Lia James, whom I met through an organization called OWL, a non-profit local to Denver that teaches underserved children technology programs. Her advocacy for women in tech, her career progression, and her overall positivity have been inspiring to me since I met her. I consider myself lucky to know her and be able to bounce ideas off her consistently.

I have had many inspiring women in my life, and hope that some day I can be the same type of inspiration to other women.
