Lucky 13

I was in West Palm Beach, FL visiting my daughter and my favorite gift shop at the Loggerhead Turtle Rescue Center in Juno Beach.  I saw the bracelets and chose one that started with "13"....one of my lucky numbers.  I added it to my "Be Kind" bracelet that I wear every day.  I am a former special education teacher and currently a behavior specialist for a school district in Tulsa, OK....and kindness is my mantra. I'll pass it on when the time is right.  I also bought two more for friends.

I am a hospice nurse and helped take care of a wonderful patient and his sweet family before his passing. On the day he passed, his amazing daughter Beth passed along this kindness bracelet to me and it brought tears to my eyes. The way I get to know families during a short, intense, emotional time, will always blow me away and fill up my heart. I will pass along this bracelet when I encounter someone in need of it, which I’m sure could be any day now!
