I decided to buy a necklace at the San Diego airport to commemorate my story:
Throughout the month of July, California and the family who lives there completely opened my heart. They showed me the true beauty of the land and showered my sister and me with care. I’ve had the most amazing experiences with them—spending time, talking, and building cherished memories together. I have never been happier than I am at this very moment. I am truly blessed to have them in my life, and I will forever stay in touch so I can return to their open arms after a 4-to-5-hour flight.
