Still Following the Current

Tag number: #23629

I joined Ulteig in 2020 as a design engineer, and it’s where I found my calling in power infrastructure: substations, battery energy storage, and the systems that keep communities running. Here I earned my Professional Engineer license, grew into an Engineering Supervisor role, and earned my PMP. Today I lead a team of engineers doing work most people never see but everyone depends on.

None of it happened alone. Every step came from someone at Ulteig who pointed me forward: a mentor who took a chance on me, a leader who noticed the work, a teammate who stayed late to get it right. I don’t take any of that for granted. The trust, the growth, and the people I get to work beside are what I value most about these six years.

A compass doesn’t choose your destination. It keeps you honest about which way you’re facing. That’s what good leaders do, and it’s what great partners do too.

Tonight, as we celebrate our partnership with our client, this piece begins its journey. To whoever carries it next: someone believed in you enough to pass this along. Keep it until you meet someone who needs direction, then hand it forward.

Every journey begins with a connection

Every journey begins with a connection. The renewable energy industry is often described through miles of transmission lines, gigawatts of capacity and ambitious projects that shape the future. Yet behind every achievement is something even more important: people. The relationships we build with mentors, colleagues, partners and friends help us navigate challenges, discover opportunities and create lasting impact. Together, these connections form a network that is every bit as important as the infrastructure we design and build. This bracelet symbolizes that shared journey. Just as energy travels across a connected grid, ideas, encouragement and opportunities move through the relationships that strengthen our industry. As this bracelet continues its journey, it will carry the stories of the people who wore it before and those who will wear it next. Thank you for being part of a community that continues to inspire, support and empower one another as we work together to Wire the Future®.
