I saw the compass bracelet while at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach Florida, and the idea behind it resonated with me. All too often we get so caught up in our daily lives that we fail show others kindness or acknowledge acts of kindness that are done unto us, even though they can be the most powerful sources of change. I honestly believe that some of the smallest acts of kindness can have a huge impact, from changing a person’s day, to maybe even their whole lives. As Gandalf said in the Hobbit “I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay… small acts of kindness and love.”
To me, this bracelet symbolizes that acknowledgement and that commitment to be kind and to continue so spread these small acts of kindness and love.
