Wantrepreneur to Entrepreneur!

I was lucky enough to have my name shared with the lovely & lively Espree Devora, as she traveled across the country speaking with Women in Technology and how they got their start.  She is building a podcast of women around the country!! I am a female technology entrepreneur, even though most days I feel like a "want"repreneur!  I have my own software and operational consulting firm... and I am close to launching cool game changing software for the HR world!!  I love supporting WIT, STEM, Girl & Women in all their endeavors. My Compass reminds me that there is a huge world of opportunity for me and all of those trying to find their path.  It reminds me that there is help and support all around - I just have to ask for it. It also reminds me that can do this - I can step into the spotlight and make things happen! I have so many peers that deserve this Compass. It will be hard to decide who gets this one, as I think I will have to get some more!

I'm a very big fan of symbols. I think they remind us on a daily basis of what is important. A wedding ring doesn't mean you're married, but it's a constant reminder. On this same wrist as my Compass bracelet, I wear a Wanderer bracelet for the coordinates of one of my very favorite places in the world: Hermosa Beach, California. My family and I have vacationed there since before I was born and it truly is my "happy place." Throughout the day, this Wanderer bracelet reminds me to take a breath, and think happy thoughts, and keep moving onward. I am hopeful that my Compass bracelet will remind me that what I do as a teacher is helping kids, just as the proceeds from the bracelets help kids. This is not day-to-day my class is driving me crazy. This is big picture. I'm making a difference. It's hard to remember that some days. I can always use something to remind me.
