I certainly would not call myself old, but I am old enough to be a mother to the young woman who gave me this compass bracelet. I got my bracelet from Lexi Palmer, the CEO of EquiSeq, a research company dedicated to analyzing the genetic material of horses to improve breeding. Lexi mentioned she had a gift for me weeks ago – a bracelet of some sort given to her by Espree Devora, and meant to be shared. I really didn’t understand its significance, but when she gave me the compass bracelet at a 1MC event last week, I was very surprised and honored to be the recipient.
Lexi is a force to be reckoned with! She is passionate about her career, fights for her rights, speaks her mind (we share this trait) and tells her story whenever she has the chance. It’s a beautiful thing to meet women in tech that work so hard to make a difference in other women’s lives. For that – I thank you Lexi!!
