Second Journey

Tag number: #3356

The day we left Steamboat, we stopped in Breckenridge, CO to see the snow sculptures. At lunch, we sat next to some people who had already seen the sculpture & gave it a good review! It was nice to start a conversation w/people we didn’t know, but had come to Breckenridge for the same reason i.e., to enjoy the art, the snowy weather and a yummy lunch.

btw – This is one of our favorites, so joyous! I hope this image won’t be upside down!

Spent a long weekend in Los Angeles to visit my 98 yr-old aunt, who, by the way is still feisty, stylish & just a little bit snarky. It's always the right time to visit someone who's been important to you…

Kindness, pass it on

I purchased mine in Steamboat Spgs., CO after visiting Carpenter Ranch and participating in a "snow drawing" event. Carpenter Ranch is a Nature Conservancy site dedicated to providing cultural & ecological information about the Yampa Valley of the Yampa River. The river supports cottonwoods, box elders, & red-osier dogwood as well as a variety of endangered fish. Why is kindness important? As I write this, it's 2019 and we've experienced growing animosity and intolerance world-wide. Sometimes even just a smile can be a simple act of kindness that one person needed that day and that time. They'll better be able to get through the day and pass it on. When I saw the bracelet I felt it was a simple reminder that the world is bigger than me and fellow travelers could pass on calm & kindness.

Spent a long weekend in Los Angeles to visit my 98 yr-old aunt, who, by the way is still feisty, stylish & just a little bit snarky. It's always the right time to visit someone who's been important to you & who you might've modeled yourself after. We also visited Little Tokyo, the Go For Broke Education Center and the Japanese American National Museum. Roots. I'm posting a photo of Little Tokyo. The photos always post upside down! Stand on your head to view it. :-)
